Are you a motivated graduate looking to take the next step in your production management career? We are seeking a Junior Production Manager to join our dynamic team in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with early career experience in production, engineering, or operations management to gain hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Production Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing production processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards. Working closely with senior management, you will lead and support production teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold health & safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Motivate and direct production teams to meet quality and efficiency targets
✅ Oversee workflow, ensuring deadlines and customer specifications are met
✅ Support production operations, covering staff absences when needed
✅ Manage stock levels of materials and consumables
✅ Ensure compliance with health & safety and housekeeping standards
✅ Conduct regular team briefings and manage staff leave/working arrangements
✅ Implement Lean Manufacturing Principles (5S/6S, waste elimination, OEE improvement)
✅ Challenge processes to ensure they add value to the business
✅ Support the adoption of automated process control systems (Siemens S7)

What We’re Looking For:

✔️ Degree/Apprenticeship in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management
✔️ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
✔️ A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
✔️ Knowledge or interest in Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and reliability engineering
✔️ Experience or interest in automated process control (Siemens S7) (preferred)
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
✔️ Familiarity with SAP S4 (preferred but not required)
